Layers of Complexity

Fresh lemon oil balances this coconut syrup with its sharp and floral top note. Cold-pressed citrus oils - as opposed to steam distilled - are more aromatic and truer to the fruit.

Rich and Nutty

Salted lemon cuts through the unctuous full-fat flavor of real coconut. Medium high sugar.

Thinner

First of all, I find several Liber&co syrups essential to my bar. I do have a few issues with the toasted coconut syrup though. It sets up hard enough not to pour from the bottle if refrigerated. Although there are no suggestions for a substitution ratio for a common/popular cream of coconut, using Liber’s own recipe for the Pain killer as a guide (3/4 oz) , I find it a bit thin in every way (except the aforementioned pouring).
If you find the common “canned” cream of coconut TOO sweet, heavy, or “much”, this may be the syrup for you. Myself I had to use a 1 to 1 substitute and still found it too thin. Giving the fact that a “can” will cost me less than $4 in my market, I will have to pass on purchasing this again.

Toasted coconut syrup separates

The syrup has a wonderful flavor, but it separates in the bottle and is so congealed that no amount of shaking seems to get it recombined. Quite a nuisance and probably won’t buy again

Delicious but so much separation

The syrup is fantastic, but it separates pretty severly with a solid layer on top which makes it really hard to get a properly mixed amount when you need it for a drink
