Wines add a breadth of complexity and flavor to a cocktail with just one ingredient. While vermouth is a common cocktail ingredient, we love using other wines in drinks as the seasons change, as they pair so well with the deeper, spicy flavors we associate with Autumn.

We recently expanded our office space and built a new bar for drink ideation and testing! We're proud to have made most of this bar ourselves and wanted to share a few photos with y'all.

Always started by muddling fruit or herbs, smashes are full of fragrance and nuanced flavor. Easy to drink and long lasting, thanks to being served over crushed ice, it's the cocktail that keeps on giving.

There seems to be an endless variety of cocktails, but there are a few core types that provide a template for the drinks we know and love. Once you know the standard builds, you can experiment at home to create novel and delicious drinks.

In celebration of National Daiquiri Day and the season of drinking rum, we've come up with three original variations on the classic cocktail.

Generally a 50-50 ratio of beer and a soda or citrus-ade, shandies are just as easy to make as they are to drink.
