Spanish Old Fashioned
Build this Old Fashioned a little differently. Spanish brandy is renown for its angular, aggressive complexity. It's definitely distinct from ultra smooth cognacs, and it therefore does well with this muddled-fruit strategy.
Ingredients:
- ¼ oz Demerara Gum Syrup
- 2 oz Spanish brandy de Jerez
- 2 dashes aromatic bitters
- maraschino cherry
- orange slice
Instructions:
- Muddle syrup and fruit in a rocks glass
- Add brandy and bitters, plus crushed ice
- Stir and top with more crushed ice
