Algonquian Sour
A festive autumnal riff on a classic cape codder. The perfect aperitif or punch before Thanksgiving dinner or any fall night.
Ingredients:
- ½ oz Demerara Gum Syrup
- ¼ oz Fiery Ginger Syrup
- 1 oz mulled unsweetened cranberry juice*
- 1 ½ oz vodka
- ¾ oz lime juice
- 2 dashes angostura bitters
*Simmer 8 oz juice with a cinnamon stick, 5 cloves, 5 allspice berries, and 2 star anise pods for 5 min. Cool before use.
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker
- Add ice and shake hard for 10 seconds
- Strain over fresh ice in a highball glass
