Absinthe Old Fashioned
Doug Petry of Louisville’s Rye restaurant devised this absinthe-based old fashioned. It reads quite sweet but it rounds out nicely into a surprisingly delicious cocktail.
Ingredients:
- ½ oz Classic Gum Syrup
- 1 ½ oz absinthe
- ½ oz elderflower liqueur
- 4 dashes Peychaud's bitters
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients except bitters to a mixing glass with ice
- Stir 20 seconds and strain into a chilled rocks glass
- Dash bitters on top
