This recipe makes three servings of a beautifully clarified, carbonated Don's Caribbean Punch. Orgeat, grenadine, rum, and root beer liqueur create a rich tropical base, enhanced by Angostura bitters and a hint of saline for perfect balance. It’s a stunning, smooth cocktail with layers of complexity, perfect for sharing.
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz Almond Orgeat Syrup
- ¾ oz Real Grenadine
- 3 oz Puerto Rican rum
- 3 oz Jamaican rum
- 3 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 ½ oz root beer liqueur
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
- 15 drops Bittermens Tiki Bitters
- 15 drops 20% Saline solution
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients, except milk, in a vessel
- Add cocktail mixture to 3 ½ oz of milk
- Strain 2 times through a paper towel lined strainer (do not change out paper towels)
- Top each serving with 1-2 oz club soda
