Prescription Julep
This take on the classic julep is just what the doctor ordered.
Ingredients:
- ¼ oz Demerara Gum Syrup
- ½ oz rye whiskey
- 1½ oz cognac
- mint
Instructions:
- Muddle 5-10 mint leaves with gum syrup in a julep cup
- Fill with crushed ice and add liquors
- Stir until cold and frosty, then top with more crushed ice
- Smack a mint sprig between your hands to express its oils, then garnish

Garnish:
- mint sprig sprinkled with powdered sugar
