Mint Rum Julep
Enjoying Mint Juleps shouldn't just be something that happens on Derby Day. This rum-based version employs Demerara Gum Syrup and a skosh of falernum to lend it a tropical bent. Perfect for a blistering summer day!
Ingredients:
- ¼ oz Demerara Gum Syrup
- 1½ oz Jamaican rum

½ oz Lemon Hart 151 rum

1 barspoon Velvet Falernum
- 1 dash orange bitters
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 8 mint leaves
Instructions:
- Muddle mint leaves, syrup, and bitters in the bottom of the glass
- Add remaining ingredients to the mixing glass with crushed ice
- Stir 20 seconds and top with more crushed ice
