Carthusian Sazerac
The world needs more sazerac riffs. This version from the minds at Spice Kitchen & Bar employs a short pour of herbal liqueur and lemon bitters.
Ingredients:
- barspoon Classic Gum Syrup
- 2 ½ oz rye whiskey
- ¼ oz Green Chartreuse
- 2 dashes lemon bitters
- barspoon absinthe (rinse)
Instructions:
- Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe
- Add remaining ingredients to a mixing glass with ice
- Stir 20 seconds and strain into the chilled rocks glass
- Express and garnish with a lemon twist
