Prescription Julep

This take on the classic julep is just what the doctor ordered.

Ingredients:

• ¼ oz Demerara Gum Syrup
• ½ oz rye whiskey
• 1½ oz cognac
• mint

Instructions:

• Muddle 5-10 mint leaves with gum syrup in a julep cup
• Fill with crushed ice and add liquors
• Stir until cold and frosty, then top with more crushed ice
• Smack a mint sprig between your hands to express its oils, then garnish 

Glass:

• julep cup

Garnish:

• mint sprig sprinkled with powdered sugar
