Velvet Revolver
This is a wonderful cocktail that blends summer and fall perfectly. Developed by Robb Collins at London Cocktail Club in 2017, the cocktail first appeared in the book Cocktails in The City. The sweet strawberry is the perfect compliment to the cognac, and the red wine adds a wonderful richness. This one is definitely worth a try.
Ingredients:
- ¼ oz Classic Gum Syrup
- 2 oz cognac
- ¾ oz red wine (pinot noir)
- ½ oz strawberry preserves
- ½ oz lemon juice
- 2 dash aromatic bitters (optional)
Instructions:
- Stir strawberry preserves and cognac in base of shaker until preserve is dissolved
- Add all other ingredients to a shaker
- Add ice and shake hard for 10 seconds
- Strain into a chilled rocks glass
- Garnish with mint
