The Cooke-Wright

Cocktail by @carolinaverbena. I was honored when I was asked to collaborate on a cocktail honoring a figure in Black history. As a cancer survivor, I couldn’t think of a better person to highlight and pay tribute to than Dr. Jane Cooke-Wright. Her research pioneered cancer chemotherapy treatment and changed the face of modern treatment. This cocktail is a small tribute to her

Ingredients:

• ½ oz Caramelized Fig Syrup
• 1 ½ oz bourbon
• ¾ oz banana liqueur
• ¾ oz fresh orange juice
• ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
• ½ oz egg white

Instructions:

• Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and dry shake for 10 seconds
• Add ice and shake hard for another 10 seconds
• Strain into a chilled rocks glass
• Garnish with a bruleed orange slice
