Heavy Rocks
You can take split-base old fashioneds in a ton of different directions. We found an intriguing combination here with the sweetness of bonded corn whiskey and citrusy mezcal.
Ingredients:
- ¼ oz Classic Gum Syrup
- 1 ½ oz corn whiskey (Mellow Corn suggested)
- ½ oz mezcal (Del Maguey Santo Domingo suggested)
- 2 dashes Bittercube Corazon bitters
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice
- Stir for 20 seconds and strain into a chilled rocks glass
- Garnish with an orange twist
