You can take split-base old fashioneds in a ton of different directions. We found an intriguing combination here with the sweetness of bonded corn whiskey and citrusy mezcal.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ oz Classic Gum Syrup
  • 1 ½ oz corn whiskey (Mellow Corn suggested)
  • ½ oz mezcal (Del Maguey Santo Domingo suggested)
  • 2 dashes Bittercube Corazon bitters

    Instructions:

    • Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice
    • Stir for 20 seconds and strain into a chilled rocks glass
    • Garnish with an orange twist
