Creole Sazerac

This sazerac pays tribute to the flavors of the Carribbean.  Using a high complexity rhum takes the flavor to new levels, while paying tribute to the Creole heritage of the Crescent City!

 

Ingredients:

  • ¼ oz Classic Gum Syrup
  • 1 ½ oz rhum
  • ½ oz cognac
  • 3 dashes Peychaud's bitters
  • barspoon absinthe

Instructions:

  • Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe
  • Add remaining ingredients to a mixing glass with ice
  • Stir 20 seconds and strain into the chilled rocks glass
  • Express and garnish with a lemon peel
